On the Space Station

It’s been so exciting learning about space. This week we watched a video about living in space. Astronaut Sunita Williams who lived on the space station for 4 months is the only person ever to have run a marathon while in space. She flew on both the space shuttle and Soyuz, participated in seven spacewalks, and was the second woman ever to be commander of the space station. In the video Sunita showed us how astronauts sleep, she also demonstrated brushing her teeth. Our students were very interested to see how astronauts go to the toilet in space. In the STEMShed students have been working on their bottle rockets with Mrs Rayner. We can’t wait to see them launched!
